VISITING MAUNAKEA

The Onizuka Center for International Astronomy Visitor Information Station (VIS) at Hale Pōhaku (9,200-foot level of Maunakea) is open daily, 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.  

Public stargazing nightly from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m.

Lecture on the cultural aspects of Maunakea, 6:00 p.m., third Saturday of every month.

Escorted summit tours begin at the VIS at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Read this before going.
