2005 Poster Calendar

"Mauna Kea Star Trails," by IfA graduate student
Wei-Hao Wang, is featured on our 2005 poster calendar. The image is a time-lapse
photo of the summit of Mauna Kea taken in the morning twilight and shows
the Subaru Telescope, the twin Keck telescopes, and the NASA Infrared Telescope
Facility. The poster calendar has been sent to all Hawaii public and private
schools. Members of the Friends of Hawaii Astronomy, the education and
outreach support group affiliated with the IfA, and donors will also receive
a calendar when they sign up or renew their support in 2005. Mauna
Kea, Hawaii's highest peak, is the best place in the world for optical,
infrared, and submillimeter astronomical observatories.
